LEt’s Get to work.

A council that communicates

As a Realtor, Amy has spent years responding to questions, negotiations, and problems quickly and clearly. She believes that a full understanding of all sides produces the best results. The way to reach that goal requires active listening to all parties, then working to assure issues are quickly addressed and thoroughly communicated. As your council member, Amy will listen to you, advocate for your interests and keep you informed. Sign up for direct email communications or give her a call. She wants to help!

Increased housing options

Amy has spent the last 20 years helping people achieve the American Dream of home ownership. She understands that for people to flourish, their current housing has to be affordable. We want options that create opportunity for our residents to invest in the community. When housing is affordable, we grow our businesses, support our local economy and freely enjoy the benefits that our city offers. Amy wants to work to make owning and renting in Overland Park more accessible to everyone: our valuable teachers, public servants, and young graduates. At the same time, allowing our seasoned residents to affordably age in Overland Park.

Public Safety

Amy believes that a strong city is a safe city. Our resources are best spent ensuring that our public servants are respected, well compensated, and well trained. Her background in mental health also influences her conviction that being safe involves not just our police, firefighters, and first responders. Mental health care in the process is key for positive results. She will work for innovative approaches to stressful situations our residents may face.

Growth and stewardship

Overland Park is an incredible city often ranked as one of the best in the nation. This has happened by design. Thoughtful growth, innovation, and partnership have made this possible. Amy envisions continued responsible growth through maintenance of current infrastructure and our trail system. We want to lead the country in creative ways to leverage our environment and infrastructure to serve the needs of the next generation.
